In 1928 the structures of an ancient furnace at the foot of the Farnesina Hills were adapted to the needs of a riding school. Thus the Roman Horse Racing Society was born, better known as “La Farnesina”. In fact the oldest horse riding school in Rome, one of the first in Italy.

And it is precisely there, in the stables and on the La Farnesina fields that the legends of national equitation have been born, and formed a clear pride of our country.
It is on the fields of that ancient furnace that the two sons of Carlo Costante D’Inzeo, Piero of 11 years old and Raymond of 9, took their first steps in equitation under the strict guidance of their father, who, in 1945, joined the Roman horse riding schools and founded the SIR Roman Horse Racing Society, which combined the best of equestrian of that time.
