Some milestones deserve to be celebrated together because they tell a shared story of passion, tradition, sport, and values. It was in this spirit that we hosted a special evening at SIR La Farnesina, dedicated to the 100th anniversaries of the Società Ippica Romana, the Italian Equestrian Sports Federation (FISE), and the Piazza di Siena International Horse Show.
This triple centenary represents a unique milestone in the history of Italian equestrian sport, and we were proud to celebrate it in our home—a place that, for a century, has supported generations of riders, fostering the culture and values of equestrian sport.
The evening also provided an opportunity to celebrate one of the most exciting moments of the sporting season: Piergiorgio Bucci’s magnificent victory in the Rolex Gran Premio Roma during the Centenary Edition of the Piazza di Siena Horse Show. His success returned Italy to the top step of the podium, a result that fills us with particular pride, as Piergiorgio Bucci also serves as our High-Performance Coach, playing a key role in the technical development of our athletes.
Celebrating these three important anniversaries together means looking back on our history with pride while embracing the future with enthusiasm. The Società Ippica Romana, FISE, and Piazza di Siena share one hundred years of commitment to the development of Italian equestrian sport, and SIR La Farnesina is proud to remain an integral part of this journey, committed to nurturing new talent and promoting equestrian culture every day.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us for this memorable evening, celebrating not only three prestigious centenaries but also the values that have always united our community: passion, dedication, respect, and a deep love for horses.
For us, these first one hundred years mark an important milestone—but above all, they represent a new beginning. We will continue to work with the same enthusiasm that has guided us for the past century, helping to build the future of Italian equestrian sport alongside all those who share its history and its values.
