There are achievements that are hard to forget.
The one in Aachen is certainly one of them.
We at SIR are truly proud and deeply moved by what Piergiorgio and Hantano managed to accomplish at the World Championships.
A fantastic 4th place individually, fought for right down to the very last jump, in an exceptionally high-level World Championship final. An extraordinary result.
But their achievement is part of something even greater.
Together with Giulia Martinengo Marquet and Delta del’Isle, Emanuele Camilli and Chacareno PS, and Giacomo Casadei and Marbella du Chabli, Piergiorgio helped Italy secure 5th place in the team final in Aachen.
A historic result for the Italian team and, above all, the result that allows us to see Italy back at the Olympics in team show jumping.
The last time was in Athens in 2004.
Now the next stop is Los Angeles 2028.
For us at SIR, the emotion is even greater seeing Piergiorgio, who joined our family just a few months ago, play a leading role in such an important chapter for Italian equestrian sport.
And then there is Hantano. Because behind every great achievement there is always a special horse, and what the two of them have accomplished together over these past few days is something that will stay with us.
Thank you, Piergiorgio. Thank you, Hantano.
And thank you to the entire Team Italy for making us dream.
